I choose whatever I remember him looking like right before I did the wet work. If he was alert and being skittish then that. If he was head low on the trail of a hot doe then the sneak or semi sneak look. The mount is a reminder of the hunt for me rather than the aesthetics of the mount itself.

we took one for one of my boys to get mounted this year. its the first i've ever mounted as well. we ended up with i think they called a "semi-sneak" meaning head forward just a bit instead of straight up but not neck stretched out. and head cocked to the right i think. we'll see how it comes out. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/12/full-706-440097-benjamin_2024.png)

Beautiful trophy! Like others said, you can't go wrong with either. Probably go with second if I Had to choose. The pedestal mounts are incredible!

I've become a big fan of the off shoulder wall mount but have pole inserted so that can also move them down to a pedestal mount and vise versa. For your location Head Up and looking slightly 1/8th left (left shoulder exposed). Great Buck
