Sorry, I mean, if any of you fine THF'rs are given a fruitcake you don't want, I will pay reasonable shipping costs. We love the dang things. Especially Collins st. Bakery. Holler at me.

I have not had a Collins Street fruit cake in years. If somebody sent me one, I would not give it up. I may only have a slice or two, but it's mine. realmad

No kidding. They are almost $50 on Amazon. Sounds like a plan. I noticed my Brooksire Bros doesn't have them yet or is not going to get any.

My grandparents used to send us one for Christmas every year.....I liked them.

Grandad used to work at the Collins Street Bakery back in the late 20's.

If you go behind the main store in town you can get the “seconds” pretty cheap. But fruitcake is gross.

Old saying….”nuttier than a Corsicana fruit cake.”

Collins Street is the only one worth eating.

I worked with a feller whose wife made little small pecan pies every Christmas. He would bring a bunch to work. That gal knew her pecan pies.

My mother used to make a "no bake " fruit cake that was extremely edible.

My wife makes ours. Here’s what they look like then we wrap them in cheese cloth and soak them in bourbon for a week. [Linked Image]
