I have not had a Collins Street fruit cake in years. If somebody sent me one, I would not give it up. I may only have a slice or two, but it's mine.

HEB had Colin's Street fruitcakes for $4.99 last year after Christmas. I snagged a few. Might wanna be ln the lookout late December.

There use to be a Moderator on here that use to give one away every year to the person who guessed the closest amount of ??? that were in a jar.

If you go behind the main store in town you can get the “seconds” pretty cheap. But fruitcake is gross.

I worked with a feller whose wife made little small pecan pies every Christmas. He would bring a bunch to work. That gal knew her pecan pies.

My mother used to make a "no bake " fruit cake that was extremely edible.
