For dinner tonight. Meat, French cut green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, and cheese. Seasoned the way I like it with lots of pepper.

Looks delicious. While I am a fan of green beans, I much prefer traditional peas and carrots in my pies. For an added changeup, mix your topping 50/50 with cauliflower and potatoes for a nice change.

Beer and whiskey, 'cause you can't drink bacon!!

First of all, this dish has a special place in my heart. My wife grew up in an insulated Chinese community in Houston. I grew up around normal Texas folks with a mix. I picked up making Shepard's pie from scratch, including the mashed taters, because it's delicious. I made it for her and she had the most disgusting look on her face. Her exposure to the dish was terrible 90s frozen dinner AND she's one of these asians with a mild lactose intolerance. Fast forward 10+ years, it's one her favorite dishes i make.

And B, I LOVE you backing dish choice. I use a rectagular baking pan and i kinda hated the proportions that occur. I like how it turns out on your circle glass bowl. I'm taking that with me.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!
