Have a Moultrie, about 5 years old. The spinning mechanism has been booking down. There is just enough resistance to make it not spin, but when I turn it with my hand it will go off fine. Not sure how many clean cycles I get before it siezes. New battery, and last two times I've gone out on my place it has been seized, so I've been hitting it with WD40, while it is cycling. Any other options or suggestions or do I need to upgrade?

Similar to WD40, graphite spray lubricant. The liquid evaporates but leaves the graphite around the shaft seal. I have had a number of the cheap 6v Academy timer boxes where the dust can clog up the shaft seal to seize after a short period of time even with a hot battery on a solar panel. Seems to work better than anything else I have found.
