Discovered a thread over on the flat brimmer Rockslide Forum regarding the Scythe Ti. It seems there are a bunch of instances of the scythe coming apart at one of the weld seams on various rifles. Anyone else heard anything about this. I had about decided on that one until I read that.

That's something I have not heard of with SICo, a few of the manufactures had that issue when they started welding titanium, there is a little learning curve. I bought an Enticer STI a while back, I will say I caught myself looking at the end of the barrel for a while to see if it was still there lol..

Haven't heard anything about the Scythe, but I know SICO had some issues with the Omega 300 weld failures.

I’ve been pretty hard on the AB raptor, long shot strings w/7prc no issues.

Surprised to hear issues with Scythe though, not their first titanium can and its seems pretty robust

Has Anyone tried PTR VENT 1? It’s a touch heavy

If I could find one of those Raptor 8's I'd buy one immediately. May go ahead and get a scythe anyway.

FWIW It looks like it 12” long with reflex, just have to remember reflex is back over the barrel. With that said I haven’t shot it with out reflex so no idea if it makes a big difference, heard it make a time difference more then anything.

Haven’t heard any issues with the Scythe. I’ve got one in jail because I heard issues with DA Nomad Ti’s.

I’ve read through both those threads over there. Seems like there are 10-12 guys over there that have blown theirs in half with 7prc, 300prc, 7saum, 300wsm and a 25 nosler. Most are mentioning 18-20” barrels on the gun when the van failed. Wonder if SiCo will make a barrel restriction on the magnums!?
I had planned on buying one, even had the LGS call me and let me know they had some in. I’m going to wait on buying one at the moment

No issues here but I'm only shooting .308 & 6.5CM out of mine.

I'd have to check my reloading logs but I probably have 500-600 rounds through my Scythe Ti. shooting larger cartridges which is mixture of mostly .308 and 6.5 Cr with some 7mm Mag, 300 WSM. 300 WM AND 6.5 PRC. Probably an additional 200-300 rounds of .223 and 22 ARC mix. I use Area 419 Hellfire mounts on all my guns and I check the suppressor every time I move it. I have not seen any signs of failure. I have even run my borescope through it to see its insides and didn't notice anything. (didn't really know what to look for on the inside just had it out looking at a couple rifle bores and looked in it. I may have the video) I run a Silencerco Cover on it 90% of the time if that makes a difference. It's my favorite can now.
All of the big rifles were of the longer barrel variety other than the 22 ARC which is a 16" bolt action, and one of the .308's is an 18" AR10 with an adjustable gas block.
