Been planning on my little trip to Fredericksburg and with family issues happening I needed it and dear old dad being home and doing really well things worked out great. Got here and made a lap around town, had a beer bought bottle of wine for daughter-in-law and had great meal at Mamasitas (which I recommend)! Now going to relax and look forward to exploring town tomorrow. I know the place pretty well so I'm relaxing.

I had no idea that Mamasita's had expanded to Fbg. Prost!

Been there along time. In 1990 coming from Randolph Air Force Base back to West Texas on the weekends and we would eat there from time to time.

Of course, you're correct. Brain fart. I'd blocked it out of my mind after many looong family meals. Put on the property that Birck's Bar-B-Q was on previously.

Always see good crowd there and they are locals. If locals choose the place that should say something. The Pollo Asado was great! I eat alot of west Texas Mexican food and can be good but the flavor wasn't over spiced like some places so I enjoyed it and price was good for amount of food, under $30 for meal and slice of turtle cheese cake. Tomorrow evening will go to Pasta Bello.

I like the catfish place on the west end for lunch when passing through Fredburg..

We ate there twice last spring when we watched my granddaughter play golf in the WTJG tour. It was as good as it ever was. We ate there over 30 years ago and I don`t know how long it has been there.

We are in Fredericksburg for the winter and love the area. Be sure to check out the National Museum of the Pacific War.

The Pacific War Museum is my favorite thing in Fredericksburg. My wife and I only had about 90 minutes to spare in there. The next time I go back, I'm going to spend some more time in there. It is quite impressive!
