I'm thinking of getting a blind for when I bring my daughter or when guests come to get out of the wind. I don't have $3K+ I saw these at Tractor Supply and or Academy. Nice price and easy to install especially since I don't have a trailer or tractor like some of the others I would have to add a floor and all set. Curious what everyone's opinion or suggestions. BlindGood floor is the shipping pallets with a piece of plywood on top. I bolted mine on top of a 5 feet tall tower and it will fit in the back of your pickup and it is light enough for 1 man to set it up. Never have understood why anyone needs any more than this setup.

Thanks BenBob! That is what I'm thinking too. I can handle myself or with a buddy and my Tacoma. I'm primary a bow hunter so this will be used like 2-3 times a year tops. Stinks they charge you the $160 Shipping even if you ship to the store.

True but pop ups don't really block the wind and I want something more permanent.

My Pop Ups do block the wind and have with stood N W TX 50-90 mph winds. they are not the cheaper flimsy nylon material. Love my Xenox and Rhino. Both in XL sizes plenty of room for 2 and I bow hunt out of them. If only used 2-3 times a year, I'd build my own and make it a little bigger for two comfortable office chairs, put in own desired windows and locations, with a solid floor, horse stall mat, and insulate if your worried about guests getting cold. I also like building with a small outcut for Mr Buddy heater placement so it doesn't take up floor space. Paint and it will last later your can put it on a riser stand or add the corner lift kit to put legs on it to raise.

Thanks for this thread. I've been looking at these blinds as well. I need two for the ranch. With retirement a year away, I don't have a ton of a couple few or more thousand $$ to spend on some really nice ones. My question is what's the life expectancy of these blinds? I plan on using silicone between the panels as I bolt them together. This will keep out what little bits of the elements that may get in. Same on the roof to keep the red wasps and other critters out. I've thought about using close cell foam on the interior panels to quiet them down. I'm just not sure the close cell foam will adhere to the plastic panels. Has anyone tried this? I saw a video where they built there's on 4X4 skids with plywood bottom attached to the skids. We have two 8'X8' platforms that are two feet off the ground. They're not high but they don't need to be. They would easily go on top and bolted down.
Since the windows drop down, outside each window were going to build an outdoor window ceil for a better rest. I've got plenty of room to figure things out an 8'X8' platform.
Thoughts, ideas please.
Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!
