Usually these three days before Thanksgiving are pretty slow business wise. Not this year. We have been swamped with RFQs that include capital projects. Seems to be calming this afternoon.
Anyone else see it busy?

Very busy! Companies trying to spend money before the end of the year.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

Very busy! Companies trying to spend money before the end of the year. They are also stocking up before the Trump tariffs kick in.

When I was working this week and the last 2 weeks of December were dead. Been retired since 2019, I miss the job and people I worked with but not the corporate BS.

Busy here. I was working on the baby cradle till the wife showed up with the honeydo list. It’s way more important than anything I might be doing, just ask her. After spending most of the day on her problems, she asked if the cradle will be finished soon. NO, but I did get some work done on it. Luckily, the baby isn’t supposed to show up till February.

Yes, I've been busy, but usually am this time of the semester. Stressed out kids and faculty/staff due to finals, the holidays, and family. One of my long time clients just gave her two weeks notice and is retiring...she plans on moving back to the Philippine's and I will miss her.

Well, she’s pressing me to get the cradle finished, but then stalls me with other stuff.

Also retired from being self employed. IT Headhunting and contracting tanked about 5 years ago and I got out while I still had some money. Will be 82 in a couple of days and been a professional malingerer for about 4 years. Wife retired a year ago. Since I had gotten us debt free, we live ok on Social Security.
I get an occasional contract to turn somebody’s resume into a marketing document. There’s a big difference in the 2.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

I’ve been busy-ish the last week.
Will see how the next two weeks play out. Its usually dead past that until after the 1st

Oilfield money they want to throw on contracts before end of year has us swamped building compressor packages before end of year. Vacations, parts availability, shipping issues, the word impossible is prominent when they put end of year deadline. We only have 4 man shop and one of them is new hire we are coaching as we go. Not like we can walk into parts room and pull a CAT 3516 off the shelf and flop it on there, and machine work that may have to be done is 1 -1 1/2 week at best if needed. Love oilfield life!
Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock! 12/26/03-10/25/13

when I was working in the food business, holidays were pretty slow for office jobs (regular M-F hours) I would usually take two weeks off at Christmas. It was great.
When I was on the street, selling, it was still 24-7 UGHHH, kinda suked.
Now every day is Saturday.
