Gonna hit the marsh hard for the closing weekend! Then regroup for the 2nd opener in 2 weeks. May go try my place in Young county the opener in North zone.

Sit in the deer blind, I suppose. With the surgery a few weeks ago I just don’t have the confidence in myself to be out on the lake at zero dark thirty by myself. Get exhausted pretty quick and a little bit of brain fog. Sucks even worse because my son was looking forward to his first season on the boat.

Hunted yesterday afternoon with my daughter, saw 5 ducks doubled a couple of Gadwall out of the group.
Hunted this morning solo, saw quite a few but nothing to even call at. Left cold and empty handed.
Might take my boy out this weekend for an afternoon, then call it good until we get some ducks down here

We had good shoot. Finished w 13, figured 9 would be good number- not a duck on the lake afternoon before. Lots of wigeons and gadwall. Best group was 17 Wigeons that circled 5x but wouldn’t finish .
