Hunted all day yesterday and only saw 8 does in a.m. and one yearling spike along with a 9 pt who showed up just long enough for me to see him then he was gone.
. The evening hunt saw does 10 total that’s it.

So I got up this morning and an it was very foggy, visibility probably 25 feet. Slowed me down to get to the property but made it on time anyway, I’m an always early. Walked to the blind and just loved it, misty rainish, the fog was so thick. Grass was wet and made the slow walk a lot more quiet. I was thinking perfect deer weather, well minus the 65 degree temps at 5:00 a.m.

I saw one deer come out about 7:15 a.m.. kept trying to see him through my binos and it was struggle. Anyway, when a gust of fog opened up I saw that he “cleared the ears” and assumed it was the same 9 that was there yesterday morning, I seriously thought it was a different deer. 135 yard shot and found the blood trail, he was laying maybe 50 yards away.

Pics.

I am truly blessed again this year. More food for the table.

A/R county and no does, except for Thanksgiving weekend.

Hope you all get what you are hunting.

Great!

If you find yourself feeling useless, remember it took 20 years, trillions of dollars, and four presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

Sometimes the Universe puts you in the same situation again to see if you’re still a dumbass.

congratualtions! looks great. for me too its about the experience and some table meat. a big buck is awesome, and we do try to manage but at the end of the day the experience and time shared with others and some meat on the table is what its about.
