Came across a great find this weekend, a NIB unfired .222 Classic. Been looking for a 700 BDL for years. I like this way better. Mounted a Leupold 4x12x40 I had laying around and did a trigger job on it. It loves my loads from a previous deuce and was quickly ringing steel plates out to 300. Going to have fun with this rig.

I bought one of those many years ago at the Fort Worth Gun Show for my brand new bride. She killed a deer and a pig and decided not to do that again. Now been through several grandkids and I still have it.

Great find. I've had some pretty accurate Remington .22 centerfires. I'll bet that one will average a half-inch or better for five shots at 100 yards with loads it likes.

You don't see many of the Classics in .222, either.

Big fan of the 700 Classic-just good, clean lines. Not sure I'd have brought myself to shoot an unfired .222, though. Glad to hear it's a shooter!
