I just got through milling this chassis to accept a left handed action and spinning on the new barrel with my gunsmith, and this thing is ready to rock for the next season of PRS 22 shooting. It feeds and extracts beautifully, which is sometimes a gift with rimfire rifles in various chassis. This is a Bergara B-14r that I've run for a couple of years now, seriously for this last season, and although it shot great with the OEM steel barrel I wanted some better balance and more weight to just plop onto barricades and such without moving. The stock barrel, for accuracy reference, would reliably drill a 1/4" KYL target at 50 yards with SK Match. So I won't gain much in terms of accuracy, but it'll just generally be a better shooter in matches.

Now it's got a 24", 1.25" straight contour barrel chambered from a Shilen (pretty sure) blank, and is sitting in an MPA Matrix chassis w/ the side rails and steel weights. Altogether it's just over 23 lb!

Really cool, like that paint job.

I was so busy with all my son’s activities last year I didn’t shoot one dang match. Gotta get back on the ball this year.

Maybe in 10-15 years! Parenting is rewarding and consuming.

That'll be really cool when he's old enough to tag along! It's always great to see juniors come out to matches and have a blast (and start beating the adults wink

Yea it’s always great to see. He has a bit to go but I have him practicing his safety skills with his nerf guns.

The cat looks like he's thinking "you're not thinking what I think you're thinking, are ya?"

Not my type of rifle, but a consistent quarter-inch at 50 is better than any rimfire I have ever owned.

Nice setup. Rimfire is a deep rabbit hole. I too started with a Bergara as being a lefty also,it was all I could find during Covid and even worse ( as far as PRS style) I could only get a carbon barrel.
Mine also shoots well enough to compete but then I stumbled onto a Vudoo lefty that was purchased and never fired due to Covid so tried that. It’s a little smoother action and shoots amazing and was happy until I tried a RimX.
I probably need to thin a couple now with 4 sitting around here.

One day I'll get a vudoo! The Bergara is nice, but man oh man the Vudoo is just a pleasure to shoot. Never tried the RimX yet!
