How is cerakote for not stick properties? I’ve never owned a cerakote firearm although I’ve played with duracoat in the past. Is it porous at all or is it slick? True ceramic is very porous.
I’m looking for a high temp slick as possible coating that is to be used in an industrial setting up to 300° F.

It is slick. It goes on like liquid paint, from an aerosol cup gun.
Look at their website. It is full of information as well as their colors. 300°F is no challenge for it. They have applications made for over 1500°F.

Before you leap at Cerakote, take a look at Moly Resin. Be sure and look at the specs. I've used this for years.

I use air cure on stocks. It does work. Wear latex gloves. This ain't paint, Acetone won't get it off your hands immediately. I learned that the hard way.

Specifically I have paper fiber building up on a stainless steam box running 220-250°. It contacts it at 25% solids (mostly water) and is sticking. I need it to immediately shed this fiber. I will look into the Moly Resin. Thanks for the input so far gentleman.

When we Cerakote any metal, it gets decreased, rinsed off, blown off, 100 grit aluminum oxide blasted, gas out in the oven at 300°F for an hour, sprayed, then cooked again at 300°F for an hour. Of course the air dry Cerakote does not go in the oven.
Cerakote says 5 days before it is fully cured, FYI.

Kind of hard to see in the pics but if that is polished stainless I wouldn’t think Cerakote would be more “slick” than polished stainless. I have several Cerakoted firearms and a couple with polished stainless barrels and just the touch and feel the Cerakote seems more textured than smooth.
Maybe a super glossy powder coat

I've looked at that photo a dozen times wondering what that is, and also wondering if I should know what it is, AND wondering how stupid I would look for asking...
WTH is that??

Nobody should know what that is. That’s a steam profiling box on a forming fabric where in introduce stock (pulp) at 99% water and through vacuum and steam reduces it to about 75% water. Then on to the next dewatering system. This runs about 2000 fpm and goes from 99% to 9.6% water in about 15 seconds through various dewatering methods. The steam is actually a drying factor. When water reaches 150-180° its viscosity goes down dramatically, allowing it to be removed by vacuum much easier. This was designed and built in house. You wouldn’t know. A little better picture, moveable in all planes while staying square.

Maybe a super glossy powder coat I’ll look into it but the cerakote I’m looking at was designed to improve drainage. Powder coat may be the ticket though, we will see.

Cerakote says 5 days before it is fully cured, FYI. The 5 days is a concern. I may build a second one including the first section of 2” pipe then treat it and let it cure the 5 days. Then pull it off the machine and replace the old one. I don’t want to go 5 days without it.

After an hour in the oven, let it return to ambient and it's done.

If I can find a bake on with the same qualities as the one I’m looking at that might be the path I take.
