All water we hunt is waaaaaay low- found a good feed, gadwalls mainly, teal wigeon and mallards. Couldn’t hunt on the X mud was way too deep. Setting up 100 yards away- hopefully can draw them in

Haven’t seen any posts, so assuming not a lot going on in N Tx

I haven't even hunted yet since big duck season started, I been focused on rigging my new boat and figuring it out, only 5 hours on it. I have scouted twice, I have seen few, nothing to get excited about. The 2 times I have gone out scouting have seen deer swimming across a cove. Nice buck here, especially on public.

We had a great hunt today- 2 guns 11 total. Off by 8:30 hunting 3 in am. Did not shoot into any groups over five birds, save it for am. Pretty good feed going on.

Day and night to Friday am- got 4 wigeon/gaddies- saw 2 groups, one worked, and a single. Real slow. Didn’t see duck after 7:30

Ended up with 10 Saturday. Should’ve been our 2 limits. But first 2 groups of teal had me shooting a little rusty. lol.
Only saw teal and gadwall.
Sunday was slow. 4 groups of teal and only shot 6 with 2 guns.

There's a ton of sheet water out west so hunting the ponds out there isn't very productive. Since then I've been scouting and hunting all around. If you find 'em, there's a lot. Seems like you either have a ton or barely any at all right now. Last week on public got a solo, then a two man, then three man limits. Mostly teal and pintail with some gaddies, wigeon, and mallards mixed in.

They're stale tho and not wanting to work. Hopefully this little front pushes new birds down.

Nope, same stale birds. Did manage a "coastal" limit... pintail, 2 redheads, and 3 teal. Prolly gonna focus on deer the next few days, but might sneak out in the morning before heading out west. Got some vacation to burn, just not sure if getting up at 3 then trynna get out there for the afternoon deer hunt is a great idea. I don't handle lack of sleep as well as I used to LOL.
