I have three Tikka rifles one of which is custom 6.5 CM. Tikka's three round magazines function flawlessly in al the rifles. I've purchased two Tikka five round magazines. None of them work in any of Tikka rifles. Each rifle flips the second through fifth rounds up and they won't feed. I was on E-bay surfing around and came across a guy who was selling Tikka T3 mags for $34.99 he made on his 3-D printer. He guaranteed they'd work. I said what the heck and purchased two. That's much cheaper than the Tikka 5-round mags and some of the after market 5-round mags being offered costing up towards $90.00 each.

I received them yesterday. They function flawlessly in all three of my Tikka rifles. The one thing I noticed about the 3-D printed mags when compared to the Tikka 5-round mags. The Tikka 5-round mag springs are very weak compared to the new 3-D printed mags. The new mags spring tension is stout. It's a noticeable night and day difference in spring tension.

I made a good investment. I may pick up one or two more as time goes on. I'm just happy I have functional 5-round mags now.

Below is the link if anyone else is in search on 5-round mags. Sorry I can't get the link to post properly.

Thanks for the heads up. No doubt I love Tikka's, I have 3. I have no issues with the mag's for the T3, even the 5 round I bought. The CTR, different story. The 10-round metal mag I've had on two set ups drops the mag on recoil. It's an easy fix with a very subtle pull on the slot to create a lip by using a screw driver.

For me the 5 rounders (270) work fine inside the rifle but not outside. I pretty much only use the 5 rounder since I'm mostly hog hunting. Still good to have another source of magazines.

In one of my Tikka's had the opposite issue with mags getting stuck. It took some doing to get them out. I found a Mountain Tactical video addressing your problem with mags falling out. I thought what the heck I'll try it out. I readjusted the the mag retention spring into the location of the video back into the correct location. I was very skeptical, but it was a simple easy fix.

Mamba mag is pricey but is a flawless 10td option for T3/t3x. It’s pricey unless you are in Canada

Thanks, I'll check it out.
