Just letting everyone know I won a Canik TP9 on hibids.com back on 9/6...Bismandbids was the seller...they have 100's of items up for sale on there. they charged my debit card immediately and then the wait began...I got an invoice stating that it will be 30+ days for shipment.....then after 30 days the BullS$%t began....after constant emails promising the pistol, I had to threaten to dispute my debit card charge...once I did that they stopped responding to my emails last week....Then today as I was filling out the Charge dispute form I get a call from my FFL stating that they got a Fedex 2 day delivery of my pistol. during this time I did a lot of research on this guy "Brett" that runs the company and it seems this is his MO for 99% of his auctions....charges you for winning and then wont deliver unless you threaten legal action...Also hidden in his T&C is a well hidden line stating that if you dispute any charge they will immediately charge you a $200 fee for the dispute.
Thankfully I at least got my pistol but I will NEVER bid on an auction by this guy...I also hear that he's on multiple other auction sites as well so be wary.

Byron

Don’t use a debit card for online stuff.

Do research before you buy!

I had a similar situation from an advertiser when I contested my dispute. I believe it was a Mastercard I used, and after notifying Mastercard that they suspended his ability to process Mastercard transactions and fined him 2x the amount returned to me.

Wells Fargo covers fraud on my debit card exactly like my credit card.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

I would still never use the debit. Lets them play with someone else’s money. Is your debit card cash back?
