I like it. I need to get a 22 can.

Rimfire suppressors are the most practical I believe. I have a Rugged Oculus and a Q El Camino. They are both fairly light and give great performance. I use the Oculus in the short configuration on my long guns when out in the place. Doesn’t add much length and that far ahead of my ears is still very quiet.

try sub sonics. Most won't work the action, but you only hear the firing pin drop.

It would be nice to find a round that I can use on the darned armadillos that savage my lawn and landscaping here in town! I've got a couple of bolt action 22's that I can use to get around the issue of working the action.

It just came in today, and I'll be heading out to try it on a variety of rimfires that I use for target practice and varmint/vermin control. I went out to the property and tried it out with one pistol, two semiautomatic rifles, and two bolt action rifles. The db reduction averaged around 30 for the LR's and 25 for the 22Mags. I did 5 shots with the suppressor and then 5 shots without the suppressor on each firearm. All the LR ammo was "high velocity" stuff; the Mags were medium velocity. I'll be trying some of the "quiet" ammo the next time I go out. I found it interesting that the POI did not shift from suppressed to non-surppressed at 50 yards.

Just get some good standard velocity rounds and you’ll be happy. I shoot the SK pistol ^^^ This. Standard velocity ammo (like cci standard) is already subsonic. No need to pay extra money for ammo that is labeled "subsonic".

I just got the new 835 fps CCI Quiet but haven’t tried them yet. People were complaining that the previous version that is 710 fps wouldn’t cycle in semi autos so the new ones were made to do that. I have CCI and Gemtech subsonics that are around 1000 fps along with standard 22 which is around 1050, anything under 1100 fps is subsonic. The only subsonics that I have tried that wouldn’t cycle are the CCI 710 and some super slow Aquila that I have.

Just make sure to clean it every 800-1000 rounds. They get pretty dirty. My El Camino is a good design that keeps the inside of the tube clean so I just have to clean the baffles.

I have 2 El Camino's. 1 on a17HMR and 1 on a17WSM. I find I have to clean them after 300 to 350 rounds but they clean up nice.

I found an old box of CCI "Quiet" in my stash. Advertised velocity on the box is 715 fps. I ran several through my suppressed Ruger MK IV and they cycled the action very well. They were noticeably quieter than the HV ammo I tried originally.

I use Colibri 22 short, sans poudre(no powder), in my back yard in town for trigger pull practice. I put a small target in front of a steel pad and slant it forward. Thus, the spent bullet is directed down into the soil. I dig them out and put them in a can for someday melting.

I like it. I need to get a 22 can. Yes you do. Everyone needs at least one .22 Suppressor.

If you have a 22 suppressor, or really any suppressor, try this: "Breakthrough Suppressor Cleaner". There are others but I wanted something safe for AL.
I have a 22 integral that I left for too long. In the last few weeks, I scrubbed on 22 baffles for 3 days. Soaking in foaming bore cleaner, and other products and then scrubbing with steel wool. What a PITA. I searched and searched for something to clean suppressor internals and found Breakthrough. It is safe on Al, TI, SS. Ordered off Amazon.
I soaked an internal sleeve for 12-18 hours and the carbon and lead just wipe off. I recommended to a friend and he had the same results, completely clean with no scrubbing. Some parts were hard anodized and some were not. I saw no issues on either parts. You can even plug the end of a center fire suppressor and fill and soak. I did flush well with water when the parts were clean.
I also read that coating 22RF baffles with silicone grease would keep carbon and lead build up from sticking to the baffles. I have a 22 and 9mm that I am shooting subsonic lead through. Both have 200+ round through them and when I pull a baffle or stack, the crud just wipes off. Impressed so far. I am using Danco Silicone Grease Part No 88693. Still testing but impressed so far. I also coat the inside of the suppressor tube.
If you have never had to hammer a baffle stack out with a piece of broom stick, well don't. Clean often!!
Also, buy a 10GA shotgun brush for the tube ID (22 suppressor). It isn't a perfect fit, but the closest I have found. Amazon is your friend.
IF your suppressor can be taken apart to clean, coat all end cap threads with liberal amounts of anti-seize!!
Take all safety precautions, wear gloves and appropriate PPE.

For my suppressors I use use a nylon bottle brush (these are cheap) coated with Breakfree CLP. Works great.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.
