Looking for a good used skid steer for my ranch, does NOT have to be in great shape, just functional. Does not need to be operating perfect as it will not be used commercially, like my track hoe, a little funky but starts right up. a little loose, and can deal with that at the right price. I THINK I might want to get mulching and other attachments/equipment. I deal in silver barter or cash

In my humble opinion if your putting a mulcher on it you’d better buy a solid machine or your repair bills are going to be astronomical, he’ll there crazy high on a new machine

Also must have High Flo pump to run a mulcher. Mulchers will kill a wore out skid steer, better get a solid machine like has been said already,

Not to hijack the thread but you don’t another skid steer or a skid steer with a mulcher? I know the guy I had do.a bunch of mulching said maintenance and repair cost was high. He broke a track working for me and just the part was like $3500 (2021?) and then had to have a Bobcat tech come out to install.

Skid steers are one of the handiest pieces of equipment you can have on a ranch. Its adding a mulcher to one thats concerns me. It really boils down to what your going to be mulching and who runs it. I just decided it would be better for me to rent one or hire it done.

They are so complicated anymore it don’t take much to much to make one inoperable.
