Definitely not worth the 380 traffic drama!

It is where I am.

I Check every Thursday at 3 specs. I think they are holding it back.

I’ll let you know next places I see it. You don’t have to go to 380 but still along 121

It’s all personal taste, Buffalo Trace didn’t impress me. Even when I paid $25 for a fifth.

If I can find a place that has it regularly, that would be appreciated.

Price isn't bad, I will give it a go next time I see a bottle.

I have been doing the Evan Williams 1783 for like $30 for 1.75 liter bottle

I was very surprised at the number of guys that showed up at Specs as they opened today. I was driving by and figured that I would drop in. As I pulled up a dozen guys were rushing in the door and they all went straight to the counter where they put out the new bourbon. I held back as they all passed the counter, browsed the bourbon aisle, and then left.
I had not been to a Specs in a long time as they opened, I guess grabbing up allocated bottles it still a thing.

What's so special about bourbon? Seems every alcohol thread is about a bourbon drink.

We have a lot of serious drinkers here.

There is an entire faction of people that make a living buying FOMO bourbon and reselling it on the secondary market. It's ridiculous. Weller 12 sells at 9x retail

I remember 15 years ago taking a handle of Weller 12 to the ranch and using it for a mixer. Man times have changed.

Also more of them don't even drink at all, they are all about the secondary market.

Great point. The guys I see lining up to buy anything from BT are more the metrosexual type. Converse and man-buns. Doesn't really reinforce the bourbon drinker's attributes.

Glad to see you are still drinking it. Save some for after the holiday as I may be up your way for a couple of days depending on the weather.

There was a ton of Weller 12 available late September, mid October. Took these about 4 weeks apart.

You have to also consider differences in state taxes.

It has become the suave thing to collect with the man bun and skinny jean crowd Gen Z's. Doesn't get you any more or less buzzed than any other bourbon.
