Good price and I've owned a few of the Tisas 1911's and they were great for the money. I've seen in the last few days the Tisas and MAC 2011's down around the $700 mark.

These are hard to pass up for the price even if you're not particularly interested in 1911s. Some day you will regret not snagging one or two. I really love my 1911A1 clone, and I think it might be the cheapest handgun I've ever bought. After a 200 round break-in with Speer Lawman it feeds flawlessly including from WC 10 rounders. Accuracy is great, trigger is great. Been thinking about getting a 10mm too.

I remember when the Norinco 1911 A1s hit the streets. They could be had for $205 back in the day (about 1993, IIRC). Many poopooed them when they first appeared claiming they were made from inferior steel, but they proved to be very good guns. I had two of the full sized Norincos, and I could load a mag up with empties and cycle them thorough manually repeatedly and they never skipped a beat (I had one of the Compacts as well, and it was a different story...probably a magazine issue, but I did not hang onto it long enough to figure it out). The point is, try and find a Norinco 1911 these days, and if you do you sure as hell won't get it for $205.

I have a Tisas 1911 in 10mm, and it has turned out to be a great gun. This Tisas in .45 ACP sure is tempting at $363!

Palmetto State Armory is also unloading several versions of the Tisas 1911 for very low prices:

Are they reliable? Have zero experience with them. I went to ParaOrdanace years ago. Have a P-10 made at the original factory in Canada. I'm pretty sure Remington is the one making them today. Remington is pretty dang proud of them looking at what the price is they put on them.
