Wondering about your 12x Redfield. Have you checked to see if anyone repairs/cleans those old scopes and what they charge? I might be interested in it if not to expensive to send in. Would you trust it on a 223 bolt gun?

I would trust this scope. I haven’t done any shooting with it, but I did mount it and checked the turrets for tracking and return to zero. The parallax adjustment works, too (Redfield). I’ve also taken it outside on some cool, damp mornings to see if it would fog internally, which it doesn’t. I haven’t used them myself, but Iron Site looks to be a reputable scope repair and a fixed power USA made Redfield shows to be $100 for basic cleaning & resealing.
The Weaver was mounted and used on a Ruger M77 and works fine.
