Excellent! I've always wanted to try one of those things. I've had the Contender for several years and this is the first animal I have taken with it. I was stoked!

Thanks! It ran 70 yards but left a great blood trail. We had no trouble finding it.

That 10" .30-30 has to have a heck of a muzzle flash. I've had a Contender since 82 or 83. Have 14" barrels in .44 Mag and .223, 10" Octagon barrels in .22 LR, .45 Colt and .45/.410, and two custom barrels for suppressor use, a 8" .44 mag and a 5" .22LR match chamber.

You are correct on muzzle flash... great big fireball! And loud too. I have that barrel and a .22LR barrel as well.

Would be good for a whole hog smoke! good 10 to 12 hrs at 200 to 225.
Perfect tacos mix, etc.....
