Good afternoon everyone
I purchased the Moutrie activator to feed more corn when in the blind. I have actually purchased 2 of them thinking the first one was bad.
My scenario: I cannect the positive and ground wires between the timer "The Timer brand" and the motor. I connect the ground alligator clip from the activator to the battery. I touch the red alligator clip to the positive side of the battery and the motor spins. All with the timer connected to the battery as well. When i disconnect the timer and connect the alligator clips to the battery nothing happens, not even when I push the button onthe remote. I reconnect the timer and the motor starts spinning without the remote. I then unplugged the cord from the side of the timer and nothing happens when trying to activate the motor with the remote.

Any ideas?

I have another feeder I will be hunting at this weekend and am going to tr the activator there.

I cant help you except to say that The Timer has The Remote that works great. I just built two more today that I rig to 5 gallon buckets so I can move em around. West Texas Feeder Supply is great to work with to get what you need.

Pops bought the Moultrie remotes and even when we got them to work it wasn’t for very long, “My dads a tightwad lol” they always seemed to randomly stop working very quickly so I’d ditch it personally. Like Freerange I useThe Timer Remotes and they’ll plug and play into your Timer with zero effort and last a very long time. It doesn’t help solve your issue but it will probably save you some aggravation like my dad when his emptied his feeder on a couple occasions. Hunting’s fun time so limit your opportunities for things to go wrong.
