This is a follow up to a post I made earlier in the month about my PSE Fang HD crossbow that has a cracked limb. After my bow shop jumped through their a$$ to get me new limbs from PSE I was back in the woods in 15 days. I shot my xbow once at 20 yards and it was still dead nuts with the new limbs. I had 3 afternoons in a row that I hunted and actually passed on a pretty decent buck. After a week of commitments, I was back in the woods with my PSE hoping to get lucky. That luck didn`t last long when after an hour of sitting, I heard my xbow make that familiar sound it had made a few weeks earlier. Thats right, those brand new, (POS) PSE (made in Korea) limbs splintered again. It had only been shot 5 times by me and the bow shop and it was not cocked and loaded for more than 4 hours on any of the 3 previous hunts. I walked back to my truck without the xbow and when I returned to get it about 15 minutes later both of the left limbs had completely broken off. So, my season is over for bow hunting, but rifle season starts next weekend here in Texas. I`ve got plenty of time to make up my mind on what xbow I buy for next season. One with a good warranty for sure.

That’s horrible. I would really hate that. I highly recommend Mission.

Anything made by Ten Point is good. I'd recommend this one for the price.

I have had the same ten point for many years, sometimes leave it loaded for 12+ hrs (they say it is ok for their bows to be loaded in the AM and stay loaded all day). I did send it back to ten point for restringing after about 4 years of use and they said i had a crack in a limb that i had to pat for, as it was just out of warranty. It never shot any different if there was a crack….never saw it or heard it crack.

Either way, very pleased with their xbows. Shoots great and same since i have had it

Toughest crossbow out there is Excalibur

Ten Point are very good and solid company.

Center Point I have been impressed with for the amount sold compared to ones brought back with issues. they now own Ravin crossbows as well.

Mission crossbows are good and backed by Mathews.

For years I hunted with a Parker but they are no longer around. Now there are 2 Wicked Ridge crossbows in the house no issues at all and RDX 400 for the wife and M-370 for me that is new. Finally retired the old Parker this year.

Darton made the quietest crossbows I have ever been around. I haven't shot one in several years but noise wise they were about like many compounds.

Balance wise I do like the reverse draw limbs so the bow balances between the hands very nicely. Most crossbows are front heavy.

Ones I always tried to guide customers away from. PSE, Killer Instinct and Barnett to name a few. They can be ok but we had to work on more and a higher percentage of bows from those manufactures than any of the others even considering number of bows sold.

I did no research on xbows when I bought it in 2021. Local shop sold PSE products and I had several friends shooting their bows. Lessons learned. Already using it as decoration in my shop / mancave.

I have a barnett that's about 10 years old and never any trouble. Still has original string. Also have a centerpoint amped 415 that limbs cracked a couple or years ago. Bow was about 5 years old. Centerpoint sent me new limbs and it's been good since.

I have a Parker that Tornado older than that one that served well and still shoots good. Wish Parker was still around.
