Went out with rockyfox this past Monday. What a great operation and awesome group of gentlemen. I took a Stag and an axis doe. Stag popped out at about 150 from the stand I was in and my 300 win mag did the job with a 200 grain eld x. It's weird my little Ruger American prefers the 200 grain rounds over 180s; always figured 1/10 twist production rifles would prefer lighter rounds. Anyway Stag took about a 75 yard death run started paddle walking and down he went. Got back to the lodge in time to sit for pigs and or an axis doe. Axis came out first so lined up for a hundred and some change frontal shot like I would with my .308; well let's just say the win mag was a bit flatter shooting and there are no pictures. Top of her head basically vaporized.




Would have posted sooner but have been busy processing, bunch of groceries on a Stag. Hope someone took him up on his axis deal.
