Just wanted to share a positive story. Had a fairly cheap bushnell prime 4-12x40 scope (was maybe $125 new) with capped windage turret. I was trying to dial some wind so I had the cap off and somehow the turret screw came out and turret knob came off. Not really bushnell's fault, but I called them to see if they could sell me the screw and turret dial, but unfortunately they don't sell parts and don't service it anymore. So they offered a free replacement of it or similar. I said that was fine, and a few days later I had a new R5 4-12x40 scope (about $250 new) in my mailbox. Looks like a glass upgrade which is a pleasant surprise and fits great on my 22.

Just wanted to share some positive news about a company that builds good stuff and stands behind their customers.

It is nice to see that some, though few, have figured out that customer service is not an expense in the P&L sense. It is a long term profit center with lots of little expenses. Violating a customer's trust is poison. Rewarding a customer's trust is a giant source of business profit and stability. Good on Bushnell.

I had an old Simmons 2.5X shotgun scope stop working on elevation. Sent it to Bushnell (who now owns Simmons) and they didn't parts or have a similar model, they sent me an e-mail to call them. So, I called them, very nice lady on the phone says they don't have anything similar, but they'll give me a discount on a new scope, she types a bit on her computer and says, "oh, this is embarrassing" The computer says I can give you $6 off of a new scope. Then she says to hold on for a minute, she's going to talk to her supervisor. Few minutes later she comes back on the line and gave me a coupon code for 50% off one new scope.

My experience with Bushnell’s customer service wasn’t so great. I’m glad yours was.

Had a rifle scope a few years ago that I was selling with a rifle. Hadn't looked at it in a long time. Took it out of the safe and the reticle was broken. Called Bushnell. They said to send it in and they sent me a new scope free of any charge.

Took my old broken (inside tube came loose) Bushnell Trophy XLT to the Lenexa factory, told I had to go to the store around the corner. No replacement or fix just offered very slight discount on a new one. Nope, bought a Vortex replacement (that wasn't very good either). The 3x9 on m 22 rifle just keeps on working.

I had a great experience with Bushnell's customer service, for a set of binos

Bushnell customer service for me has been almost as good as RCBS.

I had a bad Weaver Super Slam a couple of years ago, and warranty for those is [still] administered by Bushnell, believe it or not. I'd rather have had the scope (a 4-20x50, and one sweeeet varmint optic!) fixed but they said they weren't able to fix it due to parts non-availability.

They credited me full MSRP and let me buy current models with it. I think I chose some 6500s and peddled them. Worked out okay for me, I was able to eventually find another scope just like it and snag it. I ended up coming out ahead (for once in my life, LOL).

Even though Nikon got out of the rifle scope business and no longer offers warranty work on them, they allowed me to pick out a new pair of binoculars equal in value to an old Monarch scope I sent them to check for me.
