Anyone here build shops or have some good recommendations for someone who does?

I have no personal knowledge. I do watch Wolf Steel Buildings on YouTube. They seem pretty knowledgeable, but I have no first hand experience with them.

I just posted about this and got some recommendations.

It was way more complicated than expected to just get quotes. Quotes for my project ranged from $72k - $240k. Had two that said they would get a quote together and never got back with me after coming out and me talking them through the work.

Not sure how complicated you are wanting your build to be but getting as many detailed figured out before you talk to contractors will be in your best interest to ensure you get the most accurate quote possible. How many doors, how many windows, how many lights, anything with plumbing. How many outlets, 120 or 240 service? How big is your building, detailed of the metal construction. I beam, square tube trusses etc. Skylights, rain gutters etc. if you just tell them you want a 30x40 shop you may get numbers all over the place. Do you want porches, exterior lights, set so you could add on.

Just so many details I wasn’t ready to talk about when I talked to the first contractor so I learned a bunch and was more prepared to discuss withy he next contractors I had out.

I may add that you can go on some websites and build your building and get a quote just for the materials. I configured my building and purchased from metal mart then hired someone to do the concrete and erect the building. I contracted the electrical separately.
