180mph sustained winds. I bet it gets to 200mph It’s hard to imagine winds like that. Think about going that fast in a car and sticking your hand out. Crazy.

Strong storm for sure, hopefully the wind sheer to the North will help knock it down some before getting to shore here but those on the north side of the Yucatan are getting beat now.

This reminds me of Hurricane Camille, back in 1969. Eye wall windspeed to 200 mph and a 24.6’ storm surge. And Milton is bigger…

Sis-in-law in Palm Coast said gas was hard to find today, guess it's all going west & south for evac. Sure glad I didn't take the job in Winter Park years ago.

Orlando is still in the storm path. Yup... but I'll take 90mph winds over 130. The problem is everything is so canalized here on the peninsula. There are only so many roads going north-south or east-west. There aren't any good options, except not to live here.

The company my son works for sent him to Tampa Bay yesterday morning for work, hope his flight out of Orlando today does not get cancelled.
Looking at FOX news web-site they are saying it will hit land as a CAT 4.
