I want to publicly thank John for the knives! I used the Medina to skin as well as quarter the buck I shot. It was a ten point and very mature. On the hoof it weighed 188lbs. This should be a decent guess of the age and size. The knife performed excellent and then some better. Wifey has helped me skin several deer over our 28 years of marriage. Usually I get another knife to quarter the meat after skinning to place in an ice chest. On this deer she asked me why I didn't get another knife from my backpack. I just looked at her kinda funny and told her I don't need to, this one is still sharp. With the ease of removing the second shoulder she commented, wow that thing is still really sharp. Not that I really need to I jokingly asked could I buy a couple of more from this guy? She said absolutely, I see now why you get the custom knives from a person instead of the stores.
