I have a 99 suburban that I drove into the ground, Well 200,000 miles when I stopped driving it. It runs and drives, but it has so many problems and it's hunting season so rather than dealing with a private sale I just want to call someone to come get it who will give a fair price for such things and be done with it. I searched online and there are so many results and most with no idea if they are even in Texas that it is near impossible to filter through them. Anyone in our THF collective in the DFW area who has used such a service, who have you used that you felt did you ok? TIA

I have a friend that buys junk vehicles, he will part it out and sell it to a wrecking yard or for scrape metal.
You would need to ask him and not me but, I would think that he would offer UNDER $500.
He has purchased junk cars from a few members here.
PM me if you would like his number, his only requirement is a clear TX title.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I know wholesalers too.
Pass the gravy.

Carmax has always treated me well. I got $1,200 back in 2009 for an old base model Mustang that had several issues, like the door not closing if the window was rolled all the way up, a fuse issue that made the speedometer not work, torn seat and more. Three years ago, they gave $3,500 for a Honda Civic Si that had been in a minor accident but repaired, was affected by the body paint issue Honda had in the late 2000s, interior was starting to fall apart, and the driver’s door key lock was gummed up with something, so you had to use the remote or climb in through the trunk (if the backseats were unlocked). Oh, and the heat/AC wasn’t reliable. The car was a 2007 and we traded it in back in 2022 with almost 200,000 miles on it.
You can put your information in online, setup an appointment, and be out of there in under an hour with a check in hand. Really easy and you’ll get a decent, if not better, offer from them.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.
