Seresto flee collar put it on the dog and in my experience from an infestation years ago and gave one to a neighbor that their Boxer had fleas and brought them into the house and they were getting bitten. She said within a day no more fleas and guess when the eggs hatched those jumped on the dog and died. That was 5 years or so ago and since they buy their own collars, still working. Not cheap but work.

When we trained retrievers, we would "dip" them in a pyrethrin "dip" (bath). I give Jessie a sentinel chewable on the 1st of every month. so far so good.

Years ago, there was a dip tub on the front porch of the local hardware store. I’d take my 2 black lab yard dogs by there for an occasional dip.

Do a little research on the life cycle of fleas. There are 4 stages - egg, larva, pupae, adult. Just about any product will kill the larva and the adults. The eggs are really tough, and the pupae (basically a cocoon) is just about impossible to kill.
So what happens is you fog your house, and use whatever product on your pets, and it kills the fleas and you think you are golden. But then a week later the eggs and pupae's hatch and you start all over again. Each life cycle takes around a week to 10 days to complete, so you have to catch them in between stages before the next cycle starts.
Pick your products for pet, humans, and house and use them. Then vacuum your house like you've never vacuumed before, and then vacuum it all again. Empty your vacuum into a sealed plastic bag and throw it away far away from your house. Two weeks later, do it all over again. At this point you should have broken the cycle, but I'd recommend doing it all a third time after waiting another 2 weeks.

Diatomaceous Earth (DE) (pool filter media) inside and outside. Quote: "Diatomaceous earth is not poisonous; it does not have to be eaten in order to be effective. Diatomaceous earth causes insects to dry out and die by absorbing the oils and fats from the cuticle of the insect's exoskeleton. Its sharp edges are abrasive, speeding up the process. It remains effective as long as it is kept dry and undisturbed." I have used it in the house and it works. This is a start. Why would you have your dog ingest a poison that supposedly only kills fleas. Try Beneficial Nematodes. Just apply to yard with a sprayer. Its not as fast but all natural. Moved into a new house with Large yard and had fleas and now we have none. Nematodes will also kill ticks and other pest. Poisons like sevin kill everything in the ground. Dont really want to do that.

Sorry, just noticed you said Pool filter DE. Use regular DE. Pool filter is completely different and bad stuff to ingest or get into your lungs

Sorry, just noticed you said Pool filter DE. Use regular DE. Pool filter is completely different and bad stuff to ingest or get into your lungs Thanks for the clarification. Apparently there are two or three different grades of DE. Food grade is safe and actually used in some foods and as a dietary supplement. Stock/industrial grade is something in between, not sure exactly what it is used for. Pool grade DE is not as safe. That said, I have used it successfully to kill fleas, but I am always careful not to breathe in any dust it may create.

Sevin dust works. The old school powdered kind.

Our dog picked up fleas a little over 6 years ago (Lee found them a couple of days after our second boy was born) and no idea where they came from. We had to move out for a bit while we treated the house. We fogged the house twice a week, vacuumed daily, and set flea traps at night. At night, we took short Tupperware bowls with water and a few drops of dawn dish soap and placed them all over the house under night lights. Between the flea bombs, vacuum and flea traps we eventually got rid of them all after about a month. Best way to tell if they’re gone is to walk around in white tall socks.
