Inflation is generally and in this case almost totally, caused by government spending more than it has coming in. In the current case, it’s from Biden, abetted by Congress, looting the economy by Build Back and Build Back Better scams. They essentially created $ with no backing and pissed it away. Gasoline is only one of the indicators. Due to inflation, the $ we have set aside for retirement doesn’t go as far at the grocery store, gas pump or housing.

This stuff isn’t new. 1964 was the last year that dimes and quarters were made with 100% silver. The supply of silver didn’t change but that 1964 dime now has $2.12 of silver in it. That’s why we now have “clad” coins.,

It takes a couple of weeks for gas price to drop 30 cents, but they go up 30 cents in less than a day.
