Is it just me, or does this buck look like he's been injured by a shotshell? I swear he's got small, round wounds (including one right behind his eye) as well as the other "tears", and he's limping in the videos.

Hope I'm wrong.

Anything is possible. I once shot a doe in Georgia that had three buckshot holes in one of her ears. Lucky lady...

Not a fight, predator or fence. I think he got rolled on the county road.

I was thinking more along the lines of a car as well.

In order for bird shot to make those kinds of wounds, he would have had to be in visual sight of the shotgunner shooting. Otherwise, the bird shot is going to hit but not puncture and make wounds like that through the deer hide.

Lots of possibles. But car would be the most likely. Maybe got in a tussle with a pack of totes or something too. Hard to say

Appreciate it, gents. Prior video showed he was good a couple of weeks ago and just wanted to keep awareness if need be.

I would think if that was coyotes he would be laying in your senderos in the form of furry turds by now. Aren’t there some kind of flys that lay eggs on them occasionally and the larva make little sores/wounds? Seems I’ve seen similar photos referenced as that. Maybe he had a fight with a fence?
