Tomorrow will be the 3rd week in a row the stamp hasn't shown up.
How fast did you get your duck stamp once you got your license?

I ordered everything 08/15 when the licenses were available and still waiting on the physical stamp. “Temporary endorsement” is good 45 days from purchase, and can take 30 days for them to mail the stamp.

I got an email today from TPWD that said we no longer have to have the stamp attached to the license.

Yep as mentioned TPWD sent out an email, I’m sure some paper mail will be going out as well.

For those of us who hunt in other states, I hope the Texas endorsement is ok in place of the signed stamp in other states as well.

If you have your license on your cell phone you wil see the Federal Duck stamp is good to 6/30/2025

https://www.fws.gov/service/buy-duck-stamp-or-e-stampOn December 19, 2023, President Biden signed into law the Duck Stamp Modernization Act of 2023. This Act modifies provisions regarding the Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp, commonly referred to as the Duck Stamp, now allowing an individual to carry an electronic stamp for the entire waterfowl hunting season. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Migratory Bird Program has been working diligently to implement this Act for the upcoming 2024-2025 hunting season. The 2024-2025 Federal Electronic Duck Stamps (E-stamps) will be available for purchase through previously enrolled states as well as through Amplex. E-stamps will be valid from the date of purchase through June 30, 2025. Participants in the E-stamp program must carry their E-stamp certificate when hunting in either digital or hardcopy depending on the laws of the state where they are hunting, as well as fulfill other licensing requirements. A physical Federal Duck Stamp will be mailed to each E-stamp purchaser between March 10 – June 30, 2025. The cost of an E-stamp will be $29.00 ($25 for the stamp, $4 for the federal processing/convenience fee). Individual states selling E-stamps may also charge additional state fees and handling charges on any sales of federal E-stamps. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is not responsible for fees charged by states. Traditional methods of purchasing the Federal Duck Stamp – from a consignee, through a local post office, through Amplex, and online through the US Postal Services Postal Store – will continue.

I paid for my super combo, public hunting and duck stamp on 8/20 and still don't have them in hand. The TDPW app shows I bought and paid for them and shows them as active but I don't have the hard copy. Kind of pisses me off since the main dove season opened this morning.

Read the other posts in the thread. If you bought your federal stamp through TPWD, you will not get a physical stamp until March. TPWD is only providing the digital. You had no other choice if purchased from TPWD. The only way you can get the physical stamp right now is if purchased directly from the postal service. Your digital version is good to go for the entire season. The reason they don't send the physical stamp now is so you can't give your physical stamp to someone else to sign and use.

Yes I know but I haven't got the actual supercombo in the mail. I did not select the digital option but the TDPW app will show if you have a current license. It shows I do but the license has not arrived. That's my point.

I believe if you buy the license that comes in the mail, your stamp will be in the mail too. That email about the stamp is for digital licenses only.

Guess I need to figure out where in Commi Austin a post office sells them going forward. I'm no fan of this electronic licenes.

Last PO that I could reliably buy the Federal Duck Stamp over the counter was out in Dripping Springs...Or you can order from USPS.com and it will mail to your residence.

I bought a stamp with my license in the past. It never showed up. I ended up going to the post office and buying one. I hunt multiple states and prefer to be able to pull out a duck stamp when checked by a warden rather than fart around with my phone. My son bought one online last year. It never showed up either. If you only hunt Texas it is probably just fine, IF you carry your phone into the marsh. Not to mention it costs more to buy the stamp online. I don’t like the idea of being required to carry a phone to go hunting. My son has lost one phone in the water fishing and another one in the coastal marsh hunting…

I got my lifetime license tags and endorsements on paper. I have never bought a digital license. I do not currently have a TPWD app on my phone. My Federal Duck stamp on my paper license expires 6/30/2025. I will not receive a paper stamp until March-June time frame. My understanding is If I hunt in another state, I can carry my Texas License to show my printed Federal Duck Stamp endorsement same as I did when it had a physical stamp attached to it.

Ok, well maybe TPWD needs to explain it better when buying your license, cause now it seems like you don't get a stamp unless you go to the post office or wait till the season is long over.

I ordered everything 08/15 when the licenses were available and still waiting on the physical stamp. “Temporary endorsement” is good 45 days from purchase, and can take 30 days for them to mail the stamp. Same. Nothing yet.

Glad to see this post. Last year paid for Federal stamp and never got it in mail, bought a second one and luckily did get it. If post office doesn't have them I'll do the digital I've got the App on the phone though only been checked once ever and was hunting next to refuge in Oklahoma. GW was super cool guy, showed him license on phone asked if gun was plugged told him it's never been out of it and was good enough for him. BS'd for a little said hadn't seen ducks and he told me how many thousands on refuge and I said Bull Sheet and he said no really and told me where to go look but they were all going north to feed and all mine is south and it was a sea of greenheads. Also told me where to go on refuge that nobody hunts too lazy to walk to it. I was shocked at how many pigs at the refuge didn't pick up their hulls, we came out with a bunch, one reason I like brighter shells easier to find to pick up.

Easiest way to clean up fired shells...bring along a young man or woman and give them a "pickin stick"...doesn't have to be the $25 MOJO branded one...Harbor Freight, about $10-$15 or less...different options, they will pick up hulls...pack along a few "recycled" plastic grocery bags, and haul out all the trash you can...I try to leave no evidence of where I hunted...so the lazy scouters have to work to find my X.
