Went down there last week, a couple of good spots to eat if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

Breakfast at Wildflour Artisan Bakery & Grill at Canyon Lake.

HILL COUNTRY TENDERLOIN HASH • Crispy hash-browns topped with pan seared tenderloin tips, onions and bell peppers. Topped with 2 eggs any style and finished off with our
hollandaise sauce and green onions.

And Sandra's Cantina & Grill Highway 281 N, Spring Branch, TX just west of Canyon Lake.

Had very good Fajitas for dinner with kick azz margaritas.

we take our grandkids to the Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls during our annual grands camp we host ... usually try to go during pie happy hour. I've been going there since I was a young'n likely 60 years. nothing fancy but some just good old diner type food.

If you get off the beaten path, check what's going on at the Bend, TX General Store. Most Friday nights they're doing $25 ribeye dinners, or catfish as an alternative. They also have burgers and such, and live music and cold beer.

Please don't read thru that book at the Cartoon Saloon.....what has been seen cannot be unseen.

There is a story in there that is "taxicab confessions" material

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

It was Dayum good at the time, an hour later it was churning around in my belly on a nice hot day with no wind while golfing.

I ate there in mid-August; as far as I know they had no plans of closing. I would likely call first, though.

Further on down, the General Store in Doss, TX is great!
