Nice little machine, but this is the second time the main jet plugged. I said I’d never rebuild the carb again, and I wasn’t kidding. Going with a Yamaha Kodiak 450. A blue one. This is for the wife, so color is a big deal. Fuel injection is the big deal for me. The Suzuki is 20 years old. Runs great, or at least it did till the jet plugged. Once I have the Yamaha, look for me to sell the Suzuki Ozark 250. You can rebuild the carb and give it to your wife or grandkid.

Install a inline fuel filter and change the fuel lines. The in-tank filters tend to degrade after a while and crud sticks to the inside of fuel line and breaks loose when you flex them.

I’m taking a different approach. Trading it in today on a Yamaha Kodiak 450.

I like and respect the way you solve problems. Congrats on the new 450

Got the Yamaha yesterday. When we got to the dealer (Burleson), the wife did as I expected and went for the one with the power steering. Paid with the plastic and it still took 4 hours to do. About like buying a car. Back and forth on the negotiation. Total pain in the backside, but the wife is very happy. The ATV is the Yamaha Kodiak 450 EPS Special Edition. Came with a winch, which the wife will never need, and which I should move to the front of her Zero Turn. She sticks that thing often.
