If Russian hackers burned that website to the ground I wouldn't shed a tear. The stupid "look honey this would be such an easy DIY project" ideas they put in women's heads is mind boggling. Trying to explain to the wifey that those beautiful home improvements were most likely done by a contractor and specialized crew with decades of experience, versus an energetic couple with a "can do" attitude is fruitless. Rant over.

Rant over. All takes is a call to Dave True. But didn't think he'd want to come all the way to Argyle for a simple flagstone walkway. Actually hired it out to a local guy to save my back. And it doesn't look like the picture on Pinterest. So last night I find her tearing it up with a crow bar to "fix it". Will take me most of Labor Day weekend to rebuild it like she wants. So I'm out the money AND I still have to do the labor.

You can add Houzz.com to Pinterest. Before those two there were plenty of magazines for wives to tear pages out of for years before building a house.

😂😂😂😂 I look at it for road trips and campervan stuff. (Only when I’m really bored…which isn’t often). IMHO less than 10% is of any use at all and of that maybe 1-2% practical. I hate Tic-Toc worse….i won’t watch it but my bride does

I make my wife help with every project she suggests I undertake. Since I started doing that the rate at which she suggests new ones has decreased significantly.

I’ve never been on there. I feel if your wife is similar in thinking as mine, just tell her to draw up some plans on paper, using a tape measure. And go to Lowe’s and get an idea of how much that’s going to cost for the materials. Problem usually solved. She had this one on draft paper to scale. $$ wasn’t an issue. In her words the flagstone pieces were too small and looked like they’d been laid out by a two year old. Bigger stone brought in and laid out by a 62 year old. She says it’s much better now? I know better than to say I can’t really tell much difference.

Get thee behind me, Pintrest. Without pintrest I wouldn't have a huge picnic table and a big raised planter that never get used. Always get the request when it's summer, too. I got clever last time and built the "Potting table" with a hidden place to mount my table saw, so at least that gets some use.
