What are y’all mixing with your corn? Last year none of the dear touched the B&B protein blocks, but they loved the B&B bagged stuff you throw out on the ground. Not being able to be at my lease every weekend to keep putting that stuff out, what can I run in the feeder that won’t clog or create issue?

I also put out blocks. I can’t tell that they have been messed with.

I think your best bet is a separate stand alone protein feeder. Don't do a gravity feeder unless you have a pig fence up. Otherwise, those pigs will stand underneath the feeder all night bumping it to drop more protein on the ground. They can easily go through 250 lbs of protein a week like this. Don't ask me how I know.

I dont mix anything in my corn feeder.. but I do plant food plots around it... Im putting in radishes at one location and oats at another.. just trying to provide some variety, additional scent/attractant, etc..

another vote for a separate protein feeder. Only thing I mix in my spin corn feeders is a partial bag of milo on the very top of the corn. It shifts down thru the corn over a little time and the turkeys & dove really like it.

Yet another vote for a protein feeder. The only problem there is when they want/need protein (spring thru summer), it can be a challenge to keep a smaller feeder from going empty. When they don't want/need (during the rut) it, they won't touch it.
One trick we used to do to get deer started on a new feeder location was to buy a couple bags of sweet feed, lay them out in the sin for a week or so and let the stuff dry out, then mix it into the feeder on the first fill. It seems to work very well getting the deer to incorporate the new feeder into their pattern.
I run nothing but corn in my corn feeders now, but have been setup in the same area few years so even if I move a feeder it's not far, mainly just fine tuning placements for their movements into and out of the area.

All Seasons makes a combo feeder that you can change from protein to corn if youre wanting to change seasonally.

I had the same thought about adding Protein feed mixed in with the corn in my feeder. Wednesday went to H Brand feed to get another bale of Alfalfa and asked about putting protein in my spin cast feeder, owners wife says yes it will work fine in there! Okay i'll take a bag and she radios the boys to add a bag to my order. When I put it in my feeder I was concerned with its physical shape and texture whether that was a good idea, guess I will find out. This is what I bought.

I have used the Purina antler max in my spin cast feeder before with no trouble and also a free choice. Last summer I switched to a blend of roasted soybeans and corn. Not quite as much protein but the deer love it. Not nearly as expensive!
