At some point this may come your way in Texas. On Monday the Governor of Louisiana sent a letter to the Department of Interior - USFWS asking them to add BBWD to the September teal season. Finally this issue may be getting the traction needed for changes to be made. We have a lot of BBWD here in south Louisiana from March to October. Hopefully at some point BBWD will be added to the teal limit. This could be good for duck hunters in the Texas coastal area.

The letter is on the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries website.

I've seen them during teal season north of Abilene. They're thicker on the coast, but they're showing up all over. I hear they eat good, wouldn't mind an early season.

They sure love a mojo like teal do and will circle it over and over and over LOL.

Not being an avid waterfowler, BBWD?

I see them every day I am fishing on Lake Fork. Up here most of them have already gone South by opening day of regular Duck Season. Louisiana has had a growing and expanding population for long enough that it is becoming a problem. I believe others have asked for them to be added to teal season before and were denied.

They are all over my neighborhood, one shot would get you a pile of them.
