How important is it to change the transmission and front diff fluids?

Per the manual, I was supposed to change both at 20hrs. I've been keeping the oil/filters changed but missed the transmission and front diff schedule. Machine currently has 120 hr on it.

Is this something necessary or is it just recommended? In my trucks I don't change transmission fluid or diff fluid as I believe changing them causes more issues than leaving them be.

Pretty important, need to drain early to remove any break in metal shavings.

I did my first at I think 200 miles and then once a year after that.

I would suspect same with the truck how long are you going to keep it?

If you’re going to trade a truck every 100k miles I would never change belts hoses t-case trans, or axle/dif’s. If your gonna keep it then take better care of it.

I would be more concerned about the trans than the dif.

Some maintenance schedules are good some are over the top. My hustler zero turn calls for saving the hydro fluid at 50 hours. My BIL has 1500 hours on his never touched it and runs great.
