At the current sales price you’ll love it

Not a lot of issues and a great image

Some complain of image lag but I don’t have the eyesight to discern it BUT some folks say they’ve possibly missed connecting on target due to it. . .

It has arguably one of the best 640 image qualities you can get on the market today and at the sale price it's an insane deal. If you need the 3.5x base mag for a lot of 75-100+ yard shooting then it needs to be a strong contender on your list. Another cool thing is the fact that it can also use generic removable rechargeable 18500 batteries in addition to the internal battery. Even better than that we have a custom battery extender for it that allows you to run it with 18650's which is a huge plus.

Here are a couple of our reviews. Feel free to give us a call if you have questions, we'd love to have your business and be glad to help. (877)350-1818

Can't comment on that one but here is one that trips my trigger. I do not believe that the TH50C had yet hit the market, but even so, I do believe I'd have gone with the RH-50 V2.

First, I am in no way affiliated with any company, nor will I shill for anyone.

Second, I could have bought "out of state" and saved 8+% on the Taxes I pay to a Texas Company. I purchased both my Taipan 15-384 and the RICO from Outdoor Legacy when I could have saved on taxes. Why, TAANSTAFL. "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch" Education is costly, in both time and money. I've probably watched close to 50 episodes of the Late Night Vision Show and Two Minute Tuesday consecutively. I figure considering the enjoyment, entertainment, education and reinforcement of my own experience and opinions formed therefrom, I remain in their debt.

I've been "gainfully-unemployed all my adult life. I like the way these guys do business. I hope to buy a thermal drone soon, and when I do it will be from Jason and his crew!

RICO RH50 V2

Thanks to Jason and “Las Tres Amigas” I was able to acquire the RH50 V2 a day before my last trip to my lease. I did not take the time to mount and zero during the 12 hours that elapsed between the time I received the unit and left. However, over the next three nights I spent approximately 13 hours familiarizing myself with the scopes features and using it as a scanner. I have 256, 384 (2) and 640 resolution thermal units. The image quality on the RH-50 is amazing in comparison, especially during inclement weather. One evening while I was there it had been cloudy all day, wind was gusting about 25 mph blowing a light mist. I had my AGM-15-384 scanner, my Bering Optics Super-Yoter and the RH-50 to compare. Where I could not see the feeder @ 90 yds with the AGM scanner, barely make out the feeder with the Super-Yoter, the RH-50 image “popped”

I started using kill lights around 2000. Progressed to Night vision close to 10 years ago, then thermal 5 years ago. Max distance I shoot is 200 yds. There are many other brands/units out there, some cost more, some less. For me this is the first unit that ticks all the boxes of my requirements.

Dual streaming to I-phone or tablet. Consequently, you can mount it on a tri-pod, point it at a location and not have to keep your eye to the scope, and focus on using a scanner for observation. I like that.

A requisite for me on a scope is a base mag of 3x. It has that. YMMV.

60 Hz refresh rate! If you are a veteran of night vision or have an optic with a 30Hz refresh rate and you are trying to run and gun, that is a non-starter IMHO.

12-micron, <20 mK sensor. Wow, does this make a difference due to the sensitivity of the sensor.

This unit has “audio”. My other units do not.

Battery Life. Two of my other units use CR123 Batteries. I typically have spent over $20 per month on those batteries, even when I use a clip-on external battery pack. The first night I sat out between 7 PM and 2:30 AM. I did not have to change the battery or use an external charging unit.

A quality QR mount comes with the optic. One does not have to spend extra to get a good mount.

On my other units, downloading pix and video is a chore. With this unit I plug the USB connector that comes with the unit into a laptop and it comes up like a san-disk. Jut open up the file and folders and Voila!

I did not want/need a LRF.

I subscribe to the bromide, nicely stated, Opinions are like noses, everyone has one and most of em' smell. I firmly believe that at the current price, a better thermal optic can not be obtained at the present.

The only negative so far is the fact that after using it, my other units seem obsolete.

A "snap" from last Monday eve. Feeder is 120 yds. Shows to be 7:57 PM. IIRC it was actually about 8:10 PM. My bad. Amazing clarity and contrast. As an aside, I have about six feeders set up. I use the thermal optic to determine the amount of corn in the feeders. You can see that clearly in the pix below.

Disclaimer: The optic is mounted in a Bog Pod Death Grip set up next to my Sig Cross and Super Yoter with which I splatted the Dillo'. Conseqently no recoil.

IIRC, distance is about 50 yards, confirmed the next AM.

I recently purpose built this 8.6 Blackout for use with the RICO, and hope to employ it when I go back to my Lease in September.

Great clarity on the video. Why was the video seem like it was, I guess jerking? The background was moving but the cross hair was not? I’ve never seen that before.

The thermal optic that recorded the previous vid was not mounted on the rifle. Rather it was held by a Bog-Pod Death Grip saddle. As the dillo' moved, I adjusted the RICO counter-clockwise so as to keep the critter in the picture. I had/have not bothered to hide the reticle.

Here is a vid taken a few minutes after the JPEG image above. Once again, the Optic is not mounted on the rifle, but stationary on the blind window ledge. I found a face of this encounter interesting. I can't remember when I have seen hogs come to a feeder and stay immobile for such a length of time. They could not have got my wind, and I'd not been at this location in a month. Strange.....

I luv getting "two-fers" and I tried to line up the smaller hog. Thought I'd done so, but only one and no blood trail. When possible,

I try to place a bullet on an imaginary line between the ear and shoulder, two inches below the ear. That severs the spine, they drop and paddle and I do not have to track. Gave up tracking at night a few years ago, but that is another story. Usually if they paddle long, I put a second shot in them.

ya!

First time I with IR I put it on BO pistol. Siting an the ATV, 4-5 came to the feeder, 7 shots, they finally just wandered off into the brush. No hits (another story). Another time in a pop-up had to hoot and holler to get the doe to leave the feeder area for the hogs to come in. Another (nite) time, sitting on ATV @ 100 yds, never moved until the shot just missed, then gone. Last time out, the yote seemed to be sitting and waiting for dinner for a long time before I realized what it was, Only moved when the shot went by. Yes, sitting on the ATV again, shorts and tee shirt. Same location, 100yds., no real breeze, about 100F. Firmy believe they don't respond until a whack when the bullet hits something or some major real threat.

I will comment that the place I hunt has county roads and surrounded by 100 acre farms with some day activity. Probably different results for wide open country.
