The ten day forecast for down here is everyday it will be over 100 degrees. Looking at 106 for the high today. Also, zero rain forecast for those ten days. Dogs are gonna be bored spending so much time indoors kenneled up.

Welcome to Texas. It's kind of an annual event. Getting too hot here in DFW as well.

My training rucks are getting brutal. Knocking out 32oz of water every 6 miles and I’m starting at 5am

105 at 2pm. I bet it gets to 107-108 today. Putting a new walk door in one of my shops, I'm done, too hot.

New record of 105 in LBK yesterday; won't get there today as the cold front edging down has us at 102 currently. Might get to 104 but that's not enough.

It would be brutal in the afternoon hunt, I would probably go hide in the mesquites and drink cold beer. eek2

Been brutal opening weekend for the past 4 years in the Woodson/Albany area. Part of it, and I enjoy it. I did have my 13.5 AC yanked out and put in a 15 AC this week. Will pick it up on Tuesday.

Sorry folks.
Sitting at about 64 degrees right now and 70's maybe into low 80's next 5 days or so with some monsoon rains.
We've been desperate for rain and got .87 last night.
I would die down there is that heat.

Stay safe and hydrated.

This moisture is great for the mountains too, we were starting to burn.
Elk should be loving it.

The one good thing though is there has no word from ERCOT expressing concerns with the grid

Out early this morning, no breeze and swatting gnats. Typical August weather. Gonna build a fire in the smoker this morning, that should warm things up.

Windows open and a sweatshirt on, it's 54 degrees outside right now.
Hope you all survive the heat.

There’s just one way to fix that, head up that way! The heat will follow.

I've been in Texas for years mihijo. The Valley was pretty bad with the humidity, but normally you'd get the wind from the Gulf. Up here it's different. You get the heat, but not that much humidity (normally) and mostly a good wind. But when the temps climb, the wind lays, and the humidity sky rockets it gets uncomfortable fast.
