Judging the size of hook and type of bait, you are after something bigger

Wrong

Go to Squaw Creek, Game Warden give out tickets there

That's private water, they tell you when you can launch your boat, when you can leave the launch area, what time to enter and leave the lake.

I have seen days when they won't let you leave the launch cove. They charge you a daily fee like $30 launch fee

It's only open a few months out of the year, The lake is owned and operated by Luminant

It is a public access lake that adheres to TPWD fishing rules and regulations.
Basically the only place in Texas where you can fish however you want to is if it is a body of water on your own personal private property!

https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/squaw_creek/

Squaw Creek Park, which provides access to Comanche Creek Reservoir in Somerville County, Texas, is open to the public for day use on Thursdays through Sundays from October through March. The park is managed by Luminant Power, and visitors can enjoy bank fishing and boat fishing. Bank fishing costs $5 per person, and boat permits cost $30 and are available by reservation on Fridays through Sundays. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance starting in September. Boats must be off the water by 3:30 PM.

Fishing license
Anyone who wants to fish in Texas public waters, including Squaw Creek Park, must have a current Texas fishing license with the appropriate endorsement. A freshwater endorsement is required for inland waters. However, people under 17 years old are exempt from the license requirement, regardless of residency.

So did this topic make it over to the "bass fishing" section, with the same title or similar?

I'll go take a look.

...?

No but I almost used a crappie to catch a bass. I was reeling in a nice sized crappie and a monster bass tried to eat it.
Close but no cigar.

Know what you're talking about before you tell someone they are wrong.

Squaw Crook is a public access anomaly so it is considered as public waters. The Texas Parks And Wildlife Code does not apply to Private ponds and lakes like mine. I can do anything to the aquatic life in it because I own it too.

Wrong

There is no public access to Sqauw Creek. It is behind a gate. As we speak Squaw Creek is closed, Its only open from October till March

The whole lake was closed for about 10 years after 9/11. You pay Luminant employee to enter, they direct you when you can launch your boat, and they will make you leave the lake at a certain time. I have seen the not let you even put you boat in the water due to fog. I have also seen them not let you get on the lake for hours till the fog cleared.

Squaw Creek is a private lake by defention

Nope, but I have had lots of big bass hit an undersized crappie on Fork. 1 day I caught a sunfish, hooked it on 1 of my striper rigs and the fight was on.

You are confusing public waters, private waters and private land because of your lack of legal knowledge. Like I said, Squaw Creek is public access even though it's limited public access at times. because it's public access, the TP&W Code applies. I can do anything to bass in my pond because it's private waters. Prove I can't.

I don't think so (legally).

Private waters do not require a 'license' and have no size or bag limits. But other restrictions still apply.

Yes, it is illegal to use game fish or any part of a game fish as bait in Texas, including in private ponds. Other bait regulations include:
Live fish, including those caught by the angler, cannot be transported from the body of water where they were caught.
Commercially purchased live bait can be used while fishing from a vessel if the angler has a receipt that shows the bait's source.
Only certain species of fish can be used as bait, such as goldfish, common carp, native shrimp, crabs, crawfish, and nongame fish. Non-native species are not permitted.
In some counties, such as Brewster, Crane, and Crockett, only certain fish can be used as bait, such as common carp, fathead minnows, gizzard shad, and sunfish.
Fish that are edible or can be used as bait, such as gar species, common carp, and buffalo, cannot be released back into the water after being caught with archery equipment.
