There’s not a lot about the new jeeps that isn’t pretty gay. I did some fab work on a rubicon the other day that had a supercharged 392. Exception to the rule

Probably longer wheelbase and smoother ride. Rented a 2 door a few years ago in Silverton, it rode like a buckboard.

[censored] stupid. When people would put it on mine I’d cut the head off and put it on the closest Jeep I could fine.

Longer wheel base is better for most off-roading. I’m stretched my YJ to a 100 inch wheelbase, if I was buying another Jeep, it would likely be a 4 door so I don’t have to stretch it. Of course if you’re not running 40+ inch tires there’s no reason to stretch it.

I remember seeing that recently, sad deal.

It’s amazing how many people on here would be so offended by someone trying to be nice.

I liked my 4 door Rubicon but in the end it’s now a Dodge with a minivan motor in it. I rarely say never but I bet I’ll never own another one. If I do, I’d have to be one hemi’d or LS swapped. They are bad anemic.

The waving from random people is one of the dumbest things about owning one…the ducks, whatever but the wave is stupid.

Agreed. I still wave on our ranch road and in our neighborhood. Most folks can't fathom waving back, but the locals do. It's never wrong to try a little civility.

The waving [censored] gets on my nerves.......

Much ado about nuthen. When you don't have doors on, it pretty much gives others access to your interior. Never had anything missing, but have found a couple of ducks. "Badge of honor" I didn't give myself. There is one left and the darn thing sits up there like it is glued on. Hasn't been driven in a year. Have it at Extreme Customz getting ready to be "freshened up".

If you did that at the boat ramp would be a nice gesture, if it's mallards. A strap a ringnecks for ugly jeeps.

My 17 y/o daughter is all about the ducks and ducking other Jeeps. She has a Jeep and the ducks are a big thing. I can't tell you how many ducks she gets and gives out. She buys all kinds of crazy ducks to give out. It is certainly something that the younger crowd (and mainly female) does. It's certainly not for me, but it's something that she loves doing.

Well the new ones have about 100 more HP than the old I-6, more torque, better suspension, smoother and quieter ride. But you be you. My 2022 has 20,000 on it and zero problems. With the exception of a couple of trips to NM and OK, most of those miles are offroad. It's perfect for what I do. I'll be trading in my Dodge truck pretty soon and I'll replace that with a Gladiator. Wish they'd make a single cab on the JLU wheelbase, much less overhang.

Everybody waves at everybody around here, what you're driving makes no difference.

up The opposite are the folks that, as soon as you get close enough to wave, quickly glance to their right shoulder. 'Talk about insecure. There used to be a guy on here that really appreciated my passing ("passing" - get it?) psychoanalysis. rofl
