Asked my son Wyatt if he wanted to go to lunch this week, he said yes but only if he can pay for it this time, me okay.
(Even though my son and daughter in-law both make good money, the wife and I do not like them spending their money on us and sometimes that irritates them.)
He said lets meet at Ten 50 BBQ at 11:00. Now I have eaten there twice before quite some time back and was not impressed, but that is where the boy wants to go and he is buying so there we go.

I know Q is expensive but this place was very pricey, everything is a la Carte.
He got the brisket, baked potato, Mac & Cheese a roll & tea, I went for the chicken because it looked good and was the least expensive item on the board, also got the baked beans, a roll and ice tea. btw they even charge you .75ยข for a fricking roll.
I did get a small bite of the brisket right of the get go and it was tasty, my chicken was a little dry and not much flavor, the beans were good, ice tea very average.

Before we left I noticed a small piece of brisket on my sons plate, asked him if he was going to eat it, he said no so I took it and munched down on it only to find out my son had drenched it in some sauce that tasted like a cross between Worcestershire and Teriyaki sauce barf Why on Gods Green earth do people put any kind of sauce on good Brisket hammer

I will not go back unless it is under similar circumstances.

Try Hutchins in McKinney. Great BBQ there.

I just find it hard to pay these kind of prices for BBQ if you have your own smoker, and time to do it.

Been there 3 times, enjoyed it. One time went with a Nimrod that smothered his sliced brisket in BBQ sauce hammer

Good BBQ has gotten very expensive, it is a lot of hard work for the restaurant so I get why it is pricey, some of these places are a little to proud of what they serve.
If it is real good like Hutchins or 407 I do not mind splurging every now and then, but it is no longer a regular on the eating out list.

I have a smoker that needs to be used more often.
