My first concert in mid 70’s at the Sam Houston coliseum. Could barely hear anything afterwards for 3 days.

I saw him in Waco a few years ago, My hair was and still is longer than his.
Can understand why he cut it but I don't have to worry with it like he does for work/appearances, so I'll keep it till I die.

He's played a bar in Walnut Springs and a restaurant in Hamilton. You can catch him close to his home

Young Ted with "The Amboy Dukes"! Listen to the clean "Chuck Berry" sound of a guitar, 1960s, before there was real distortion, so no real crunch! Ted did not write the lyric to this song, and mentioned years later that he did NOT know it was sort of about drugs. Everyone knows Ted is super clean when it comes to drugs and alcohol. ...and look at the high-riding geeeetar, up in his armpit, so Beatles! You can tell he always practiced sitting down with the guitar on his knee. Now then, I'm a huge, HUGE Nugent fan, but I'm not that big of a fan of his vocal sound. He needed Derek St. Holmes or Charlie Huhn to be his front man singer, but those guys disappeared back in the 70s then 80s. I'd would have loved to see Ted on the "Scream Dream" tour, 'round 1978/79. I saw him once at the Dallas Guitar Show around 2015 or so. He was older, cussed a lot, but it was still Ted. Rock on! ...!

He was here in Hamilton a several months ago.... Dove hunting capital of Texas. I was on a dove hunt there, with TOWA, when 9-11 happened. Was in a gas station/breakfast place watching the news on their big screen, when the first plane hit the tower.

Only song I really know is cat scratch fever. Which is good.
I get it, he’s outspoken conservative. Loves guns and hunting. That’s cool.
His past is too shady for me. Abandoning his kids, sex with underage girls. I’m Out

Guy was musically relevant in mid-late 70s to early 80s, then again with Damn Yankees in early 90s, not so much in last 30+ years. Is what it is, times have changed, music genres too. He's much more relevant the past 20+ years in the televised/commercialization of hunting and processing of venison in his case. His solo music outside of Damn Yankees was before my time, not my cup of tea. Did like Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw's vocals in Damn Yankees, then again liked them both in Night Ranger and Styx, respectively.

Did like Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw's vocals in Damn Yankees, then again liked them both in Night Ranger and Styx, respectively. The success of Damn Yankees kicked off a clause in their contract that would have paid $1MM toward the development of their 3rd album. When grunge hit, the record company just paid them the $1MM and told them to not record anything, and that was the end. They did regroup a few times over the years, playing here and there, and tried to start a long-delayed 3rd album, but all efforts failed.

What has he done in the last 40 year except run his mouth and cater to a bunch of tube sock wearing old men?
