Mohs surgery scheduled for August 29th and 30th. Terrible timing. Two things I have rarely missed every year during my adult life was the opening of Dove and the opening of Deer season. But I guess no day is good timing when it involves cancer. This is not a "pray for me" moment. Just a small spot on my nose that has to go. I'll be alright. Sucks for my Vizsla Rosie. She will feel the change in the air all hunting dogs do and be as much of a caged lion as I will.

Dr, who is also a plastic surgeon, did a great job and you wouldn't know I had it done if I didn't point it out. You don't want to be sweating and getting it wet. Best wishes.

Same here on being both. Might be the same one. Parker. Doing self pay on this one so I can use a surgeon I choose.

Skin cancer can kick rocks. Hope I never have to go through that again. My scar still causes pain

My experience has been that, probably, over 90% of the time, it rains when dove season opens.

It's SO not funny when you have to wait till SEPTEMBER to have this done. When my Melanoma was diagnosed, I went through the same thing, "he can get you in in a month". That was a scary time, I'm "dying" and they want me to wait a month for plastic surgery.
Hang in there John, sounds like you caught whatever it is EARLY and that makes a HUGE difference between outcomes. Like we say if you see something say something. Don't put it off cuz you're a badazz.
As far as dove hunting goes, looks like I will be sitting it out too. My buddies can't see spending the money to shoot 15-30 dove.

Take care of it as soon as you can and stay on top of it Sniper John. Cancer Sucks. I understand exactly how you are feeling for your dog. All the best to you for a favorable outcome from the procedure and spending several more years with your wife and that new Vizsla. Smokey

I don’t think a little nose surgery should stop your opener. Plan on going.

Been seeing advertisements on TV about a new way to handle skin cancer, they use X Rays to kill it, no surgery. I have a flat spot on my nose from a removal, I'm ugly enough without help

I've had 6 Mohs procedures. Face, forehead, hands, and arms. I'm schedules to see my dermatologist 08/29. I hope I don't get my ears cut on, I'll look like an old ear marked bull.

Have an appointment on 8/9 to get cut on next to my ear. This will be my 4th time to get cut, go out and sit while they do a culture, then get cut on some more. Those awesome tans I got when I was a teenager, and years of no sun screens are not worth it. If you have young ones train them now for their sake.

Haven’t been to dermatologist since 1/23. Probably past due for an appointment. I guess it will be an every 6 month thing for me now. I also have several pre cancers on my scalp to be taken care of in January. It will have to stay out of the sun for a month during that treatment.

I had 1 Mohs on my forehead and then 2 red-light preventative treatments on my arms and head. Will do another red-light on my head around Oct...after pool season.

I may be in same boat but for a different medical issue. Need a knee replacement, and the surgeon said I needed to drop 25lbs before he'd schedule me. Have 7lbs to go. So I figure within 2 weeks I'll be scheduling. Always get on a dove lease that I can hunt anyday for both splits. But don't want to pony up the $$ not knowing how much I'll actually get to hunt before and after surgery. Hope your surgery goes well and everything gets taken care of sir.
