I dropped a pair of Costas on gravel and cracked the lense. I contacted Costa and was told they don’t sell replacement lenses. These glasses didn’t even make it a year and for the $250 I figured they would’ve held up better and honestly never even thought of asking if they sell replacement lenses when buying them. This is my first pair that’s not Oakley.
Any of y’all tried the aftermarket lenses? Which ones are good and which ones to stay away from?

Costa's were great before the company sold. I will never buy another pair, warranty/replacement is crap for what they cost. Sorry, can't help with replacement lens.

I had good luck with under armour. They broke a year or more later and they sent me a newer pair free.

I've used these before. No complaints. https://www.revantoptics.com/
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Just buy another pair. You dropped glass lenses on an hard/rock surface and expect them to not break? But should last longer?

I don't think he's looking for anything free, just to replace the broke lens. Costa use to do that. I also broke a pair dropping them. Sent the back and they replaced the lens, nose pieces and cleaned them for about $100. But since the company sold, that has changed.

Just buy another pair. You dropped glass lenses on an hard/rock surface and expect them to not break? But should last longer? The warranty used to cover that. I still have costa 580G lenses in a few of mine that have seen miles of ocean and are still fine with no warranty work needed. Different company 10-12 years ago.

Pm sent
They should still be able to put lenses in. They may not send you the lenses or sale the lenses to you but… Go online and make a warranty / repair claim and follow the instructions. Within a few days they should send you a repair quote to fix them. Watch for the email and if you do not have a email back in a week log in and check status of the repair.
There is no reason they cannot replace the lenses unless it is a discontinued pair of frames, even then they will offer a discounted price for a replacement.
If you have any issues with the claim process shot me a PM. I can walk you through it.

They should replace them no questions asked. I had a pair where the arm broke but they didn’t sell that type any longer. They told me to go online and pick a pair off their website. Was a real easy process. This was probably 6 months ago.

I like Leupold. They sure won’t break just from being dropped.

They’ve replaced 6-7 pair for me over the years, always at no cost. But I haven’t sent a pair in recently-
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

For future purposes, Smith has an outstanding warranty process. I’ve used it 4 times over the last 15 years. I personally prefer Smith over Costa and Maui Jim. I have five pairs of Smith and I don’t ever wear my Costas anymore (and only occasionally my Maui Jim).

Right but to say he thought they would last longer? 18 years of police work and I’ve never broke any Oakleys unless they got ran over, guess I expected the same from these. There “were” 580G’s and pretty nice. Oh well.

I know Modern Family Vision in Allen is a Costa and Oakley dealer. They put prescription lenses in mine and warranted them when I broke them. I'm not sure what the cost would be for you.

I've replaced several lenses in my Oakleys with IKON Lenses. They're polarized, made in USA, and only $35 bucks. Actually like them better than the factory Oakley lenses. Not sure if they make them for the 580's though. You can find them on Amazon.

Reason number 1 to not buy $250 sunglasses. By that logic I shouldn’t wear my Apple Watch or use an iPhone, both of which are also broken. Better not drive your truck, I’d hate for you to get a crack in your windshield

I've used Fuze Lenses in the past for a pair of raybans i used to have (until the FIL's dog chewed them up) and was happy with them. I see they carry some Costa versions now.
