The whole world screwed that up. Not just Trump.

I had several people I know die from COVID, ages 33-82. I have no idea if the shot would have helped any of them, but given the death of some of them that were younger and 'healthy', I would tend not to downplay any unknown new disease. IMO it hit some people differently. Maybe they had un-diagnosed underlying issues that COVID exacerbated. Maybe they didn't. Sadly, none of us know, and lots of people on both sides think they're right, when the truth is likely somewhere in the middle, but will never be known or accepted by either side.

I don't know...Switzerland did a pretty good job sniffing out the BS. I also don't care about the whole world, I care about the USA...I want and need to hear Trump say he'd never allow that to happen again. Instead, he brags about his response and quick action to a shot that killed quite a few people...number will never be known. I'd love to hear him say Fauci is a fraud (that he is) and that he would hold him accountable for both his role in creating the virus and his lying along the way.

I knew someone would key in on Switzerland, and meant to mention it in my first post. The whole world, except Switzerland, screwed that up. Hard to blame Trump with the circumstances. The unknown is scary, and the Covid Virus at the time was unknown and scary. The medical community did not know how to treat it, and it killed a lot of people who otherwise should not have died. Yes, I wish he would have called out Fauci, wish he would have fired Fauci. Fast tracking the vaccine I still think was a good thing. Having the vaccine calmed a lot of people who were otherwise petrified. The only screw up would have been relying on Fauci too much and allowing so many businesses to require vaccination. Including the military. The whole narrative of "If you don't get the vaccine, you are killing people" was the worst.

I saw the article in the Lancet a couple of weeks ago. Half the article was all about doomsday conspiracy theories. I didn't give it much credence at the time, and if it's indeed been pulled I can't say I'm surprised.

Know the then mayor and the county judge well. I believe each were aghast at what the "experts" advised and which they felt compelled to enforce.

Your friends died because they were put on a ventilator which was bad, very bad for them. If you do not know that by now, you’re being willfully ignorant.

They would be alive had they not been put on ventilators?

There was a much better chance of a good outcome with no ventilator.

As the leader of the free world...yes, my expectation is we are the leader...like Switzerland.

FWIW - it was only scary because the media made it scary...after week 2-4, anyone with half a brain (it did prove there aren't many and still some here smoking the COVID ganja) should've been aware that stuff wasn't making sense or adding up.

It was put out on purpose. Obama wanted to stay in power but since Hilary decided to run and was a shoe in for the win. Orange man won. Was guaranteed a 2nd term. Covid released to stop 2nd term not to mention taking thousands of people off the social security recieving end. This is from a retired virualogist doing missionary work and talking to ex workers during the pandemic. When he told ex workers that you couldn't treat this virus that way they said thats what we are being told to do. This was after he got back to the states and got to talk to these same people person to person.

Shutting down the country was bigger. The idea of making a vaccine I have no issue with, let free markets do its thing, and maybe it is good for some and worth the risk of side effects. But gov and corporate mandates I do have issues with.

My sister n law wished she would have got a shot i bet , she got covid and it took her out quick , in about 4 weeks
